Overview

The Nail Program (400 Hours) at MH Beauty Academy is carefully designed to meet the 400-hour training requirements set by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Our curriculum seamlessly blends theoretical knowledge with intensive hands-on practical training in a modern learning environment. Students will master essential to advanced techniques, including manicures, pedicures, acrylics, gel applications, nail wraps, and nail art, alongside mandatory health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure client and technician safety.

  • Health, Safety & Regulations: Understand and strictly apply proper disinfection, sterilization, chemical safety (SDS), and California State Board rules and regulations.
  • Nail Care Techniques (Manicures & Pedicures): Master complete water and oil manicures/pedicures, hand and foot massages, and nail/skin analysis.
  • Advanced Nail Enhancements: Gain proficiency in acrylic application, UV/LED gels, dip powder, nail tips, wraps, and nail repair.
  • Equipment & Tools Operation: Safely and efficiently operate specialized tools, including electric nail files (e-files).
  • Nail Artistry: Develop skills in nail shaping, color blending, acrylic color mixing, and creating modern nail designs.
  • Professional & Business Skills: Practice strong business ethics, client consultation, record keeping, and salon management basics.
